Sabi Sands Game Reserve
Big 5 Game Viewing
This is the ultimate South Africa safari destination. Sabi Sands Game Reserve forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park, bordering the Kruger, and offering a more up-close-and-personal safari experience. You are sure to experience an immaculate wildlife experience as the reserve is home to a high density of wildlife which includes the Big 5 (Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant and Buffalo). There are no fences between Kruger National Park and Sabi Sands Game Reserve, so wildlife roams freely in a huge natural environment.
Private Game Drives
Game drives are interpretive drives in the bush in specially adapted four wheel drive vehicles, with the purpose of finding wildlife in a natural habitat. On a game drive you will be accompanied by ranger/guide (sometimes armed) with a comprehensive knowledge of all flora and fauna found in Sabi Sands. Besides the ranger normally a "tracker" joins the ranger, who is being seated on the front of the car in a small seat and scans the environment for (big) game. These are all very passionate people, who have a special ability to teach you about nature. Game drives normally take place twice a day: starting just after sunrise until 10am and from 3:30pm until sunset.
The Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls is on the Zambezi River at the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. It has been described as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world. Here, the Zambezi River plummets over a cliff and into the Boiling Pot before flowing through a series of gorges. The Devil’s Pool, a natural infinity pool, is on the edge of a sheer drop. The surrounding Zambezi National Park is home to white rhinos and elephants.
The Okavango Delta
The Okavango Delta is a vast inland river delta in northern Botswana. It’s known for its sprawling grassy plains, which flood seasonally, becoming a lush animal habitat. The Moremi Game Reserve occupies the east and central areas of the Okavango Region. Here, dugout canoes are used to navigate past hippos, elephants and crocodiles. On dry land, wildlife includes lions, leopards, giraffes and rhinos.
