Nestled in the heart of Sardinia's Barbagia region, between the mountains and surrounded by woods, lies a small village that embodies the essence and charm of the area. Oliena, located in the province of Nuoro, is a natural wonderland that boasts breathtaking landscapes and natural beauty.

The town is situated at the base of Mount Corriasi, the main mountain of Supramonte, and is surrounded by trekking paths that make it a paradise for hikers and nature enthusiasts. The area surrounding Oliena is filled with stunning places, such as the Su Gologone spring and Mount Tiscali, where the remnants of a Nuragic village were found.

The heart of the town lies in the square in front of the Church of Santa Maria, from which cobbled streets lead into the narrow alleys of medieval houses. The town has 11 different churches, each with its own unique charm, but the Church of Saint Ignatius is the most notable.
